Cali Bound!

IMG_0927blog 13blog 14blog 15blog11

Hi all, Happy Easter!

So, as some of you may already know, Wayne and I have birthday’s just NINE days apart! And each year we like to do a little getaway as our “birthday presents” to one another, since traveling and experiencing new places is our favorite thing to do together!

Tonight, we’re off to San Francisco and I couldn’t be more excited! We’re headed to a nine day “Cali Roadtrip,” just Wayne and I!

We’re site seeing in San Fran, drinking vino through Napa Valley, driving down the PCH and cannot wait to see Big Sur (addicted to “Big Little Lies” with Reese!), partying with amazing friends in Venice Beach / Malibu and then finishing the trip in Downtown LA! My love for California grows each and every time I visit, now just need to convince Wayne to move!!! ūüôā

I frequently get questions on what I wear on long flights, so I’ve linked my favorite travel outfit staples below! ¬†I think when you’re traveling it’s very important to have key pieces which are comfortable, layered and still fashionable!

Sweatshirt: H&M Ruffle Sweatshirt ($9.99!!!!! Trust Me you with thank me!!!)

Leggings:¬†Express Leather Scuba Leggings¬†(they stretch¬†and they’re comfy, all while giving your ‘athleisure’ look some edge!)

Jacket: Blank NYC Suede Moto Jacket (I always travel with layers, because I’m ALWAYS freezing or having a heatstroke!) ALSO: 30% OFF with code: FRIENDS¬†

Loafers: Steve Madden Jill Loafer (best Gucci Dupe I’ve seen!!!!) I can’t find the floral embroidered online with the faux fur, I just purchased them in store at Lord & Taylor for 30% OFF! Also, L&T is having their Friends & Family sale now through Tuesday, April 18, 2017. ¬† You get 30% almost everything, and 10% off cosmetics and fragrance with code: FRIENDS.¬†

Sunnies: Marc Jacobs 58mm Aviator Sunnies (30% off with code: FRIENDS)

Eye Mask: Sephora Collection Pearl Eye Mask РPerfecting & Brightening (These are heavenly, only $5, and no need to rinse afterwards. Just rub in circular motion under your eyes the remaining serum!)

Handbag: Celine Mini Luggage Black Tote (the greatest Christmas present I’ve ever received, thank you Wayne! :)) Of course you need a large tote to carry all your travel essentials!

Face Hydration: Evian mineral Water Face Spray – I love having something in my bag once I get off the flight to give my face a fresh glow! I use this throughout the day, everyday!!

See you all when I return, I’ll be posting some really good content for Spring and Summer fashion!

Sunday Oyster Roastin’

blog18-v9blog18-v11blog18-v10blog18-v5blog18-v4blog18-v1blog18-v2blog18-v14blog18-v13blog18-v12blog18-v7blog18-v6

A fun, fall weekend activity in Charleston, SC consists of¬†oyster shuckin’, live music¬†and romantic views.¬† While visiting my mom this past weekend, I experienced my first ever Oyster Roast, and what an amazing experience it was!¬† Unlimited, steamy oysters, which you shuck yourself, gloves and shucking picks are provided along with different toppings.¬† My favorite is a few dashes of hot sauce on a saltine cracker — Delish!

When I’m visiting my mom down south, it’s always tough to determine how to dress, especially because the weather varies so much from in New York! This weekend was actually pretty chilly, highs in the low 60’s.

One of my favorite pieces I bought this summer during Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, was this BLANKNYC faux leather moto jacket.¬† Every time I wear this jacket, I get so many compliments because the color is so striking and different from the average black leather jacket.¬† It always adds a pop of color when your wearing neutral¬†colored pieces.

Jacket: BLANKNYC Faux Leather Moto Jacket in Dark Green

Sweater: H&M Open Shoulder Top

Booties: Steve Madden Melina Bootie

Denim: old; similar: Lulu’s Cool Black Jeans, Topshop Moto Leigh Ripped Jeans, Urban Outfitters BDG Twig Ripped Skinny Jean

Sunnies: Dolce & Gabbana

A special thanks to my very special friend, Molly Ann Jones, for the photography skills. ūüôā

Happy Halloween!

blog-1-v2blog-1-v3blog-1-v8blog1-v4blog-1-v7blog1-v1blog-1-v6

Happy Halloween, to all my readers! This weekend, my friends and I went upstate to New Paltz, NY, to pack in as many “fall” activities you can in a weekend! The weather was absolutely perfect – a perfect crisp fall weekend and unbeatable fall foliage.

We went apple and pumpkin picking at Dubois Farms in Highland, NY before venturing off to some local vineyards.

My first outfit of the weekend was spent for apple and pumpkin picking, and I have to admit I didn’t really pack appropriately when it came to my footwear. ¬†For some reason, I wasn’t thinking we would be walking around in dirt and mud, so I packed my suede block heeled booties; luckily, we didn’t run into too much mud!

Love the casual feel of my outfit, the long-line hooded sweater was purchased last week from, you’ll never guess where… Forever 21… for under $23!! Great find, and the long sweaters are very “in” this season, my wardrobe feels like I time hopped back to middle school with the chokers, long sweaters, flared jeans, etc.

My blockheel suede booties, were also a crazy deal, for ONLY$28 and they’re super comfy! Lulus.com has unbelievable deals on gorgeous boots!

Feminine & Floral

blog13v8blog13v2blog13v3blog13v6blog13v4blog13v5blog13-v1

I found the most beautiful, feminine top perfect for transitioning from summer to fall.  It showcases my favorite summer trends: off the shoulder and pale blue, while also being long sleeved, and having a feminine floral print, making it an all time favorite!

I scored this gorgeous top at a trendy boutique in Charleston, SC over Labor Day weekend. I love how well it pairs with this felt floppy¬†hat and semi-destroyed flared jeans (which I can’t believe are back in style; my inner 16 year old is loving this)!!¬† I’ve included similar finds of the top¬†here,¬†here and here.¬† This top from the boutique, is nowhere to be found online, sorry readers!¬† The brand is L’atiste by Amy, if you’re able to find it online, please let me know!! Also, here is almost¬†an identical¬†print in an open back, flowy maxi dress and it’s absolutely gorgeous!!

Polka Dot Print

Polka dot print is one of my favorite emerging fall trends; it’s always so spunky and fun! I love mixing prints together to have a fearless¬†look! You can always pair mixed prints with bold statement pieces to really make you standout in the crowd.

I could live in these polka dot¬†pleated culottes. ¬†They’re flattering to every figure and oh so comfortable, making it so easy to move around. I paired these amazing pants¬†with this kimono-styled tied polka dot top. ¬†Both pieces are from Zara and are each under $35!!

I styled¬†this black and white ensemble with a bright red studded Rebecca Minkoff ¬†Quilted Leather Bag and nude, strappy Steve Madden heels (similar), which are comfortable but would not recommend walking on the cobble stone streets of SoHo. ūüôā

Green Glam

This fall I am SO loving this olive green color for dresses, vests, army jackets, sweaters —¬†it’s so in!

I found this adorable BP woven shirt dress, which is a great transition piece¬†from summer to fall, during the much anticipated Nordstrom Anniversary sale.¬† I’m so excited to finally make it’s long over due debut on cr√®me!¬†With the weather getting a little cooler this weekend, I would pair this with some¬†tan booties and a leather jacket; perfect solution from day to night dress.

I paired this little number with Steve Madden Lace Up Nude Suede Sandals Heels, which are surprisingly very comfy and I walked all around Soho for this shoot (also shot by photographer and friend, Jason Mize).

ll-0069ll-0070ll-0071ll-0072ll-0074ll-0075ll-0077ll-0079ll-0080ll-0081

A few weeks ago, I did a mini fashion shoot with my friend, Jason Mize, who I mentioned in my last post! This was one of my favorite looks he did and I absolutely love the shot of Wayne and I.

This dress is A-MAZ-ing and the background just makes this photo – gotta love Lower East Side, for their eclectic artwork! I can’t find it on Lulus anymore unfortunately, but it is¬†absolutely gorgeous, with the hand detailed white flowers, mesh netting and love the sexiness of the fit. ¬†I paired the look with my favorite rose gold¬†Dior Reflected sunnies,¬†suede pale pink block heels¬†and ‘Saint Germain’ lips.

Love this dress for date night or it’s perfect for a bridal shower or rehearsal dinner!

I cannot believe Summer 2016 has come and gone. ¬†Where did the time go?? ¬†Anyone who knows me, knows summer is my favorite season! It’s always sunny, everyone is happy, there’s always something fun going on outside¬†–¬†whether it’s happy hour, dinner¬†on our terrace, long walks in the neighborhood or weekends at the beach!

I think we can all agree that this summers hottest looks and trends included anything¬†white, striped, lace, pale blue and off-the-shoulder. ¬†I think it’s safe to say, I have a thing for the off-the-shoulder look and hope to continue it throughout the fall, it’s just too cute!

Above¬†is one of my favorite summer looks shot by photographer and¬†friend, Jason Mize. Check out his blog here. ¬†He specializes in Weddings, Couples¬†and Lifestyle. ¬†I met Jason, through my friend while he¬†was shooting her magical wedding.¬†He’s truly talented and¬†does amazing work!

Harbor Date Night

Blog 11v1Blog 11v2Blog 11v3Blog 11v4Blog 11v5Blog 11v6Blog 11v7Blog 11v8Blog 11v9

Last night, Wayne and I took a spontaneous road trip for our date night to Harbor Point, Stamford, CT.  When I say this place was magical, it was just picture perfect, so quaint and truly how you would envision Connecticut; clear blue skies, followed by a beautiful sunset, wonderful drinks and seafood, and boats galore!

I chose a long sleeved crochet dress from H&M (old, similar: 1. here 2. here 3. here 4. here) which was perfect since we sat at a waterfront table by the live band at The Crab Shell.   I paired this summery staple with my favorite Catherine Malandrino wedges, Prada sunnies and Brown leather tasseled handbag.

I would highly recommend checking this restaurant out, right on the water, live band, happy hour, delicious selection of fresh seafood and pasta dishes!¬† Planning to do a few more trips to this adorable town which is a short drive from Manhattan while the weather is still nice, it’s the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city!

Sunday’s Stripes

Blog 9v1Blog 9v2Blog 9v3Blog 9v4Blog 9v5Blog 9v6Blog 9v7Blog 9v8Absolutely loving this strapless flowy striped shirt! Perfect for a hot summer day, and guess what?! It is under $13 and fully stocked in all sizes at H&M!!! Pair this top with white jeans or distressed¬†white jeans (Anniversary Sale!) or cute jean shorts and you’re good to go for a fun night out or day at a beach bar!
