Spring Sneaks

Happy Saturday all! One of my favorite things to wear over the weekend is easy, slide on sneakers that are super comfy, and also super cute! Found the perfect pair, and a few others from H&M, that come in metallic gold (my favorite) and light blush!

Love pairing cute sneakers with my new, favorite distressed jeans, a t-shirt dress, or even lounging my joggers! The metallic gold adds some edgy style to your outfit!

Check out some of my other favorite, spring inspired sneaks here:

Also, you’ll be seeing me wearing my favorite destroyed and frayed jeans a lot this spring, because they’re such trendy, fun addition!  Check out other favorites here:

On trend for this spring, love the midi skirt.  This Rose Print A-Line Midi Skirt from Chicwish is feminine, plus gives a striking pop of color and is great for brunch with your gal pals or a tea party inspired bridal shower! Feminine & Floral

blog13v8blog13v2blog13v3blog13v6blog13v4blog13v5blog13-v1

I found the most beautiful, feminine top perfect for transitioning from summer to fall.  It showcases my favorite summer trends: off the shoulder and pale blue, while also being long sleeved, and having a feminine floral print, making it an all time favorite!

I scored this gorgeous top at a trendy boutique in Charleston, SC over Labor Day weekend. I love how well it pairs with this felt floppy hat and semi-destroyed flared jeans (which I can’t believe are back in style; my inner 16 year old is loving this)!!  I’ve included similar finds of the top herehere and here.  This top from the boutique, is nowhere to be found online, sorry readers!  The brand is L’atiste by Amy, if you’re able to find it online, please let me know!! Also, here is almost an identical print in an open back, flowy maxi dress and it’s absolutely gorgeous!!

Polka Dot Print

Polka dot print is one of my favorite emerging fall trends; it’s always so spunky and fun! I love mixing prints together to have a fearless look! You can always pair mixed prints with bold statement pieces to really make you standout in the crowd.

I could live in these polka dot pleated culottes.  They’re flattering to every figure and oh so comfortable, making it so easy to move around. I paired these amazing pants with this kimono-styled tied polka dot top.  Both pieces are from Zara and are each under $35!!

I styled this black and white ensemble with a bright red studded Rebecca Minkoff  Quilted Leather Bag and nude, strappy Steve Madden heels (similar), which are comfortable but would not recommend walking on the cobble stone streets of SoHo. 🙂

ll-0003 Happy Friday,readers!

This season, you’ll see fringed, frayed and ripped jeans everywhere. The raw edges of the hem gives edgy vibes to vamp up your look.

I paired  with floral pumps which helps dress up the edgy, distressed look.  Zara, has many pairs of jeans similar to the style I’m wearing here, they are true to size, have a little stretch to them and they are my absolute favorite.  Also, at that price point ($39.90) you can’t beat it!!

Other awesome destructed jeans from Zara (ALL UNDER $50!):

In my previous post, Green Glam, I wrote about my love for army green and how I’m incorporating it a lot this autumn in: sweaters, vests, jeans, etc.  Perfect to pair with black, brown, nude or printed accessories!  My vest was purchased from TJ Maxx, found a similar one from Macy’s and it’s on sale!

This tee was a Nsale purchase, it’s honestly the most comfortable tee and comes in black and gray too.

Darling Dining!

I’m so excited to start sharing different rooms, the very few, within my apartment which I just adore. Over the next few posts, I will give you a walk-through of my favorite spots in my 1 bed, 1 bath, 850-square foot Hamilton Heights gem, my humble abode.  We did one walk-through of the occupied apartment and immediately fell head-over-heels for it (you’ll see why in the photos)! After a long, and expensive process (Broker fees in NYC are ridiculous), it was finally ours, our first “home” together.

I just had so many ideas to decorate each room, which is a true passion of mine.  I’d say the style of my interior decor choice is very modern, feminine and clean mixing vintage pieces in a modern setting and color scheme.

One thing Wayne (my very handsome, loving and supportive boyfriend of almost 4 years) and I love to do in our home is host dinner parties with our closest friends.  What’s a dinner party without a dining room?  Yes, in NYC, we finally had a dining room which fits a table, chairs and bar cart! This place is actually heaven!

The round dining room table we purchased off of Craigslist, it’s Ikea Ingatorp that can expand to seat 6, for only $40!

These gorgeous tufted dining chairs, I purchased from Target in “Glacier”.  They come as a pair.  You’ll see from my other furniture choices that I love the elegant, tufted look in my pieces.  My recommendation is to wait until Target has a sale to purchase these before buying them full price.  Also, if you have a Target card, you get 5% off every purchase!

The soft rug was purchased from Wayfair.  I highly recommend checking this site out for quality products at a low rate.  I was a little hesitant about the rug because it ended up being the exact diameters of the table and chairs, but honestly I just love the colors in the rug and it helps the room decor flow nicely between the dining and living room.

The vintage, gold bar cart  was another steal from Target.  I got it a few years ago during a Black Friday sale and Wayne absolutely loves it.  He has a knack for crafting cocktails for our guests and it’s so fun experimenting with the different liquors and flavor combinations. A few other options: Houzz Bar Cart,  Vintage Bar Cart with Bottle Holder, and World Market Bar Cart.

Some other sites that I usually find good deals on furniture and home accessories are: World MarketJoss & MainOne Kings Lane, Christmas Tree ShopsHouzz and last but not least, Home Goods!

Thank you for stopping by and I’m so excited to keep sharing my lovely apartment with you!
