One week and a day ago, my life changed for the better… the man of my dreams, my boyfriend for the last four and a half years, ask me to be his wife!!!!

Here’s how it started…

In my last post I told my readers how Wayne and I were doing a road trip vacation throughout California.  First stop, San Francisco, then vineyard hopping in Napa, pit stop to see Big Sur, then a couple nights in Venice with a blog shoot in Malibu, and ending the trip in Downtown Los Angeles.

The day before my birthday, we were staying in Venice Beach, and Wayne had a work dinner the night of my birthday.  We decided that we would be celebrating my birthday the night before.  First stop of the night was a blog shoot with our friend Khan in Malibu, California.  We went to a secluded beach called Point Dume and I had three dresses I wanted to shoot in.

I was initially wearing the white off the shoulder blue floral embroidered dress, and when walking to the entry of the beach / cliff there was an entire patch of yellow wild flowers.  I figured I would save my white and yellow daisy dress for last when we climber back up the stairs from the beach.

After a few poses in the white and blue dress, we made our way down to the private beach and I changed into the pale pink off the shoulder maxi dress.  I had previously told Wayne that was my favorite dress I brought with me, and what I’d want to wear to my birthday dinner at our favorite restaurant, NOBU Malibu.

After a few different shots and posts in my floral maxi, I was told to walk toward the water, pause for a couple seconds, turn around slowly and walk back toward the camera.  I did just that and as I was walking back from the water, Wayne started walking toward me.  All I could think was, “What are you doing?? You’re in my shot!” 🙂 From there Wayne went on to tell me he had a question to ask me, that there is no where else he’d rather be than on this beautiful beach with me.  Next thing I know, Wayne is down on his knee, showing me the most beautiful, sparkly yellow gold diamond engagement ring and asking ME to be his wife!!!! I was the best day of my entire life.  Seeing how handsome (and nervous) he looked just made my heart gush!!

After a few shots of us together in my final dress, the gorgeous off the shoulder daisy dress, we drove to NOBU Malibu and we were seated right on the water, drank refreshing cocktails, and ate fresh seafood! It was the most perfect day and so glad to share it with each of you!

Sunday Oyster Roastin’

A fun, fall weekend activity in Charleston, SC consists of oyster shuckin’, live music and romantic views.  While visiting my mom this past weekend, I experienced my first ever Oyster Roast, and what an amazing experience it was!  Unlimited, steamy oysters, which you shuck yourself, gloves and shucking picks are provided along with different toppings.  My favorite is a few dashes of hot sauce on a saltine cracker — Delish!

When I’m visiting my mom down south, it’s always tough to determine how to dress, especially because the weather varies so much from in New York! This weekend was actually pretty chilly, highs in the low 60’s.

One of my favorite pieces I bought this summer during Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, was this BLANKNYC faux leather moto jacket.  Every time I wear this jacket, I get so many compliments because the color is so striking and different from the average black leather jacket.  It always adds a pop of color when your wearing neutral colored pieces.

Jacket: BLANKNYC Faux Leather Moto Jacket in Dark Green

Sweater: H&M Open Shoulder Top

Booties: Steve Madden Melina Bootie

A special thanks to my very special friend, Molly Ann Jones, for the photography skills. 🙂

Sunday Strolls in SoHo

blog17-v1blog17-v2blog17-v4blog17-v5blog17-v3

Did winter come early?  It’s not even Thanksgiving and I’m already freezing!  I planned to do a mini shoot yesterday while shopping in SoHo with my little sister and I froze my butt off.

This jacket is one of my favorites, and a hand-me-down from my momma (really hoping she doesn’t want it back now!).  It’s a few years old and from Express but I’ve found a few, all on sale in similar colors below.  I’m always one for neutrals: cream, gray, tan and black coats but I just love having a few options that give me a pop of color!

Now is the perfect time to start making your shopping wishlists, with Black Friday and Cyber Monday right around the corner!  With coupons flooding the internet and Black Friday flyers being released early, you’re bound to find a deal on things top of your list!

Happy Friday to all my readers! Many of you who know me, know I love Conor McGregor and this weekend is the first ever UFC Fight Card at Madison Square Garden and my love, The Notorious, is the headline event! I’m so excited I could scream!!

UFC in NYC at MSG, it’s gonna be a fight for the books!

So what better way to welcome the weekend than with a glass of bubbly and a cute fall ensemble!? This mock-neck cutout top could be one of my favorites right now in my closet! This top was another purchase from my visit in September to Charleston at an adorable boutique downtown.  I have found a few similar options listed below.

Since this season has been all about the O-T-K boot, I figured I’d share with you my favorite pair right now which I snagged during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

Polka Dot Print

Polka dot print is one of my favorite emerging fall trends; it’s always so spunky and fun! I love mixing prints together to have a fearless look! You can always pair mixed prints with bold statement pieces to really make you standout in the crowd.

I could live in these polka dot pleated culottes.  They’re flattering to every figure and oh so comfortable, making it so easy to move around. I paired these amazing pants with this kimono-styled tied polka dot top.  Both pieces are from Zara and are each under $35!!

I styled this black and white ensemble with a bright red studded Rebecca Minkoff  Quilted Leather Bag and nude, strappy Steve Madden heels (similar), which are comfortable but would not recommend walking on the cobble stone streets of SoHo. 🙂

Fall(en) for Voluspa

blog-v1blog-v2blog-v3blog-v4blog-v6blog-v7

Fall is officially among us and it’s the perfect time to start lighting candles; it just makes a room feel cozy and warm when the weather starts to get a little chilly.

One thing, besides flowers, that I have an obsession with is candles: small tealights, three wick, floral, seasonal, even citronella for the outdoor terrace, I can’t ever get enough!!  I have a huge under-the-bed storage bin full of different candles, different scents, different brands and one of my absolute favorites that I purchase every year from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (Nsale), is the Voluspa Metallo Tin Candle sets.  There’s different collections, Maison Jardin & Maison Blanc, that are available during the Nsale — I have both and all six scents are just to die for — very lux!!

They come in beautifully decorated tins, with either florals, or vintage gold, luxury designs which feature three different scents per collection.  I have both the large, 11 oz. sizes and small, 4 oz. sizes.  These make great gifts, either as the whole kit or just one of the candles!  The hardest part is deciding which to light first since they all smell fabulous.  Another amazing aspect of purchasing these in the kit, is the price!

In Anthro or Bloomies, these 2-wick candles individually run between $16-$18, during the Nsale, they run $15. 90 for the small collection (3 mini candles) and $29.50 for the large 2-wick collection (3 large candles)!! Seriously one of my favorite purchases during the Nsale!

**SALE** One of my favorite scents, Maison Blanc “Pink Citron”, is currently on sale at Bloomies for only $9.60 — almost half off for the 2-wick candle – check it out here!!

Do any of my readers love this brand and their collections as much as me?!

Green Glam

ll-0038ll-0039ll-0040ll-0041ll-0042ll-0043ll-0044ll-0046ll-0047

This fall I am SO loving this olive green color for dresses, vests, army jackets, sweaters — it’s so in!

I found this adorable BP woven shirt dress, which is a great transition piece from summer to fall, during the much anticipated Nordstrom Anniversary sale.  I’m so excited to finally make it’s long over due debut on crème! With the weather getting a little cooler this weekend, I would pair this with some tan booties and a leather jacket; perfect solution from day to night dress.

I paired this little number with Steve Madden Lace Up Nude Suede Sandals Heels, which are surprisingly very comfy and I walked all around Soho for this shoot (also shot by photographer and friend, Jason Mize).

ll-0069ll-0070ll-0071ll-0072ll-0074ll-0075ll-0077ll-0079ll-0080ll-0081

A few weeks ago, I did a mini fashion shoot with my friend, Jason Mize, who I mentioned in my last post! This was one of my favorite looks he did and I absolutely love the shot of Wayne and I.

This dress is A-MAZ-ing and the background just makes this photo – gotta love Lower East Side, for their eclectic artwork! I can’t find it on Lulus anymore unfortunately, but it is absolutely gorgeous, with the hand detailed white flowers, mesh netting and love the sexiness of the fit.  I paired the look with my favorite rose gold Dior Reflected sunniessuede pale pink block heels and ‘Saint Germain’ lips.

Love this dress for date night or it’s perfect for a bridal shower or rehearsal dinner!
