One week and a day ago, my life changed for the better… the man of my dreams, my boyfriend for the last four and a half years, ask me to be his wife!!!!

Here’s how it started…

In my last post I told my readers how Wayne and I were doing a road trip vacation throughout California.  First stop, San Francisco, then vineyard hopping in Napa, pit stop to see Big Sur, then a couple nights in Venice with a blog shoot in Malibu, and ending the trip in Downtown Los Angeles.

The day before my birthday, we were staying in Venice Beach, and Wayne had a work dinner the night of my birthday.  We decided that we would be celebrating my birthday the night before.  First stop of the night was a blog shoot with our friend Khan in Malibu, California.  We went to a secluded beach called Point Dume and I had three dresses I wanted to shoot in.

I was initially wearing the white off the shoulder blue floral embroidered dress, and when walking to the entry of the beach / cliff there was an entire patch of yellow wild flowers.  I figured I would save my white and yellow daisy dress for last when we climber back up the stairs from the beach.

After a few poses in the white and blue dress, we made our way down to the private beach and I changed into the pale pink off the shoulder maxi dress.  I had previously told Wayne that was my favorite dress I brought with me, and what I’d want to wear to my birthday dinner at our favorite restaurant, NOBU Malibu.

After a few different shots and posts in my floral maxi, I was told to walk toward the water, pause for a couple seconds, turn around slowly and walk back toward the camera.  I did just that and as I was walking back from the water, Wayne started walking toward me.  All I could think was, “What are you doing?? You’re in my shot!” 🙂 From there Wayne went on to tell me he had a question to ask me, that there is no where else he’d rather be than on this beautiful beach with me.  Next thing I know, Wayne is down on his knee, showing me the most beautiful, sparkly yellow gold diamond engagement ring and asking ME to be his wife!!!! I was the best day of my entire life.  Seeing how handsome (and nervous) he looked just made my heart gush!!

After a few shots of us together in my final dress, the gorgeous off the shoulder daisy dress, we drove to NOBU Malibu and we were seated right on the water, drank refreshing cocktails, and ate fresh seafood! It was the most perfect day and so glad to share it with each of you!

Hi all, Happy Easter!

So, as some of you may already know, Wayne and I have birthday’s just NINE days apart! And each year we like to do a little getaway as our “birthday presents” to one another, since traveling and experiencing new places is our favorite thing to do together!

Tonight, we’re off to San Francisco and I couldn’t be more excited! We’re headed to a nine day “Cali Roadtrip,” just Wayne and I!

We’re site seeing in San Fran, drinking vino through Napa Valley, driving down the PCH and cannot wait to see Big Sur (addicted to “Big Little Lies” with Reese!), partying with amazing friends in Venice Beach / Malibu and then finishing the trip in Downtown LA! My love for California grows each and every time I visit, now just need to convince Wayne to move!!! 🙂

I frequently get questions on what I wear on long flights, so I’ve linked my favorite travel outfit staples below!  I think when you’re traveling it’s very important to have key pieces which are comfortable, layered and still fashionable!

SweatshirtH&M Ruffle Sweatshirt ($9.99!!!!! Trust Me you with thank me!!!)

LeggingsExpress Leather Scuba Leggings (they stretch and they’re comfy, all while giving your ‘athleisure’ look some edge!)

Jacket: Blank NYC Suede Moto Jacket (I always travel with layers, because I’m ALWAYS freezing or having a heatstroke!) ALSO: 30% OFF with code: FRIENDS

Loafers: Steve Madden Jill Loafer (best Gucci Dupe I’ve seen!!!!) I can’t find the floral embroidered online with the faux fur, I just purchased them in store at Lord & Taylor for 30% OFF! Also, L&T is having their Friends & Family sale now through Tuesday, April 18, 2017.   You get 30% almost everything, and 10% off cosmetics and fragrance with code: FRIENDS.

Sunnies: Marc Jacobs 58mm Aviator Sunnies (30% off with code: FRIENDS)

Eye Mask: Sephora Collection Pearl Eye Mask – Perfecting & Brightening (These are heavenly, only $5, and no need to rinse afterwards. Just rub in circular motion under your eyes the remaining serum!)

Handbag: Celine Mini Luggage Black Tote (the greatest Christmas present I’ve ever received, thank you Wayne! :)) Of course you need a large tote to carry all your travel essentials!

Face Hydration: Evian mineral Water Face Spray – I love having something in my bag once I get off the flight to give my face a fresh glow! I use this throughout the day, everyday!!

See you all when I return, I’ll be posting some really good content for Spring and Summer fashion!

Spring Sneaks

Blog3 v2blog3 v3Blog3 v4Blog3 v1

Happy Saturday all! One of my favorite things to wear over the weekend is easy, slide on sneakers that are super comfy, and also super cute! Found the perfect pair, and a few others from H&M, that come in metallic gold (my favorite) and light blush!

Love pairing cute sneakers with my new, favorite distressed jeans, a t-shirt dress, or even lounging my joggers! The metallic gold adds some edgy style to your outfit!

Check out some of my other favorite, spring inspired sneaks here:

Absolutely love that the weather is getting a little warmer here in New York, even though we’re expecting some early “April Showers” over the next few days!

I have this sweater in the black and the cream, and it’s definitely the perfect addition to your wardrobe for spring.  It can be paired with destroyed denim, a flowy patterned skirt, or your favorite cut offs.  Also, can’t get enough of these frayed cropped jeans from Forever 21! They have a little stretch to them, and hugs all your curves! These are so perfect for spring and summer, and are definitely a conversation starter!

Looking forward to a weekend of relaxation.  Here’s a sneak peak into my bedroom, where I will be planning to relax on all weekend — full of vegging, eating yummy snacks and watching countless movies!  Wayne, Mr. Prince Charming, made a special guest preview and wanted to show off his outfit too!   I’m so lucky to have someone who is so photogenic! 🙂

Valentine’s Day Bliss

I hope everyone had a wonderful loving Valentine’s Day, whether you celebrate on the day or on the weekend, and whether it’s with friends, a loved one or your family! It’s so fun for Wayne and I to get dressed up and go to a nice dinner. This was our fifth Valentine’s Day together and boy, did he really keep me on my toes.

Early in the day, he texted me saying he couldn’t believe this was our fifth V-day together, and I really had to think about it, because I couldn’t believe it either.  I can remember our first V-day, and how anxious I was to be going to Valentine’s Day dinner with this handsome man as his “girlfriend!” I had butterflies!!

This year, I had a work event and was able to head home early to work from home.  As soon as I walked in the door, on our dining room table, was a HUGE bouquet of white and pink roses! I was so shocked!!!  In the card it explained how this is such a special holiday today because it’s our fifth Valentine’s celebrated together, so he thought it was only fitting to give me five dozen roses – I was blown away and could not be more in love with these gorgeous flowers!  So, this called for a blog shoot – Over the next few days, I’ll be posting the outfit I wore, and others considered wearing for my Valentine’s Day date night.

Sunday Oyster Roastin’

blog18-v9blog18-v11blog18-v10blog18-v5blog18-v4blog18-v1blog18-v2blog18-v14blog18-v13blog18-v12blog18-v7blog18-v6

A fun, fall weekend activity in Charleston, SC consists of oyster shuckin’, live music and romantic views.  While visiting my mom this past weekend, I experienced my first ever Oyster Roast, and what an amazing experience it was!  Unlimited, steamy oysters, which you shuck yourself, gloves and shucking picks are provided along with different toppings.  My favorite is a few dashes of hot sauce on a saltine cracker — Delish!

When I’m visiting my mom down south, it’s always tough to determine how to dress, especially because the weather varies so much from in New York! This weekend was actually pretty chilly, highs in the low 60’s.

One of my favorite pieces I bought this summer during Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, was this BLANKNYC faux leather moto jacket.  Every time I wear this jacket, I get so many compliments because the color is so striking and different from the average black leather jacket.  It always adds a pop of color when your wearing neutral colored pieces.

Jacket: BLANKNYC Faux Leather Moto Jacket in Dark Green

Sweater: H&M Open Shoulder Top

Booties: Steve Madden Melina Bootie

A special thanks to my very special friend, Molly Ann Jones, for the photography skills. 🙂

Sunday Strolls in SoHo

Did winter come early?  It’s not even Thanksgiving and I’m already freezing!  I planned to do a mini shoot yesterday while shopping in SoHo with my little sister and I froze my butt off.

This jacket is one of my favorites, and a hand-me-down from my momma (really hoping she doesn’t want it back now!).  It’s a few years old and from Express but I’ve found a few, all on sale in similar colors below.  I’m always one for neutrals: cream, gray, tan and black coats but I just love having a few options that give me a pop of color!

Now is the perfect time to start making your shopping wishlists, with Black Friday and Cyber Monday right around the corner!  With coupons flooding the internet and Black Friday flyers being released early, you’re bound to find a deal on things top of your list!

Happy Halloween!

blog-1-v2blog-1-v3blog-1-v8blog1-v4blog-1-v7blog1-v1blog-1-v6

Happy Halloween, to all my readers! This weekend, my friends and I went upstate to New Paltz, NY, to pack in as many “fall” activities you can in a weekend! The weather was absolutely perfect – a perfect crisp fall weekend and unbeatable fall foliage.

We went apple and pumpkin picking at Dubois Farms in Highland, NY before venturing off to some local vineyards.

My first outfit of the weekend was spent for apple and pumpkin picking, and I have to admit I didn’t really pack appropriately when it came to my footwear.  For some reason, I wasn’t thinking we would be walking around in dirt and mud, so I packed my suede block heeled booties; luckily, we didn’t run into too much mud!

Love the casual feel of my outfit, the long-line hooded sweater was purchased last week from, you’ll never guess where… Forever 21… for under $23!! Great find, and the long sweaters are very “in” this season, my wardrobe feels like I time hopped back to middle school with the chokers, long sweaters, flared jeans, etc.

My blockheel suede booties, were also a crazy deal, for ONLY$28 and they’re super comfy! Lulus.com has unbelievable deals on gorgeous boots!

Hat: Similar; 1. here (under $15!), 2. here, 3. here (splurge)

Tee: N-sale purchase; Lush Deep-V Neck Tee

Denim: Banana Republic (Old); Similar: 1. Here, 2. Here, 3. Here (Splurge) 4. Here 5. Here

Sunnies: Ray Ban Aviator

Nails: Essie “Perfectly Picked”

I ended my fall-fun-filled weekend making my family’s recipe, homemade Apple Crisp! How did you spend your Halloween weekend?!
